SB County Crimes-Against-Children Suspects Arrested in Victorville, Yucaipa

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY – VICTORVILLE and YUCAIPA – Crimes against children takes many insidious forms. Two suspects have been taken into custody for their various, far-reaching sexual-exploitation crimes.
Victorville resident Steven Pilar (43) was arrested on 04/22/2020 for PC 311. 2 (A) Distribution of Child Pornography, when “Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Crimes Against Children Detail (CAC), and Sheriff’s Hi-Tech Division began an investigation into the downloading, possession and distribution of child pornography,” said SBSD Detective Brian Arias.
Investigation revealed that Pilar worked as a fifth-grade teacher for the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District, and that child pornography was being distributed from his Victorville home. “Personnel from CAC, Hi-Tech Division, and the Victorville Sheriff’s Station served a search warrant at a residence in the 11900 block of Autumn Wind Lane,” said Detective Arias.
During the contact and interview with the suspect, Pilar was “arrested for distribution of over a thousand images and videos of child pornography,” Said Det. Arias. “Pilar was subsequently booked into the High Desert Detention Center, posted bail on April 22nd and was released from custody.”

Last, but not least, we have abuse of a position of vulnerability for personal sexual gratification in Yucaipa. Wyatt Mould (22) was arrested and charged with Send Harmful Matter to Minor, Unlawful Sex with a Minor, Oral Copulation with a Minor, and Possession of Child Pornography.
The abuse of trust for sexual purposes was revealed when Deputies Shelby Swanson and Alisha Rosa from the Yucaipa Station responded to a call on 04/21/2020 from the Riverside Police Department requesting assistance in locating a 14-year-old runaway juvenile. Investigation revealed that two Confidential females, a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old, ran away together.
“The 17-year-old later returned home,” said Deputies. “Investigation showed the 17-year-old engaged in sexual activities with Wyatt Mould, and Riverside officers believed the 14-year old was still with him and possibly being sexually abused by Mould at a residence in Yucaipa.”
“Deputies contacted Mould and the 14-year-old as they arrived at a residence on the 12200 block of 8th St.,” said Deputies. “Investigation revealed Mould had sexual intercourse with both minors, oral copulation with the 14-year-old and was in possession of nude photographs of the 14-year-old he had previously requested via a social media application.”
Mould was arrested and booked on the multiple felony and misdemeanor sex-crime charges against a minor, and is being held at Central Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
