“On April 27, 2020, at about 9:30 AM, a homeowner arrived at his residence in the 1900 block of Pine Drive, Arnold, after being away for several days. Upon entering, he was shocked to find suspect Brad Earnest Burch (55 years old, Arnold) inside. Burch was known to the homeowner due to being hired to clean the residence in December of 2019. Burch left the residence when the homeowner advised he was going to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, deputies began checking the area for Burch. While searching, they observed Burch walking near the residence. Deputies attempted to contact him; however, he ran from them. A short foot pursuit ensued, resulting in Burch’s arrest. During the investigation, deputies learned that Burch made himself a key to access the residence without permission. At a nearby residence, where Burch was staying, deputies located a tablet (similar to an I-Pad) that was taken from inside the victim’s residence.
Suspect Brad Ernest Burch was arrested and booked into the county jail on the following charges: 460 PC Burglary (Felony), 12022.1 PC Commit Felony While on Bail (Felony), and 148 (a) (1) PC Obstruct/Resist Arrest (Misdemeanor). Burch is being held with a bail of $50,000.
There is no further information regarding this incident. The investigation is ongoing at this time.”
