On the evening of April 28 at a business in the 1000 Sanguinetti Road, a man shoplifted items and then left before the Sonora Police arrived.
An employee who recognized the suspect from other shoplifting incidents filmed him with her phone.
He was identified as 22-year-old Noel Figuroa.
The suspect took the items, and an employee locked the front door in an effort to stop him. The employee covered the lock with her wrist, and Figuroa twisted her wrist, “forcing her to unlock the door.”
The next day an off-duty officer say the suspect pushing a bike towards a homeless camp. On-duty officers arrived and took him into custody.
Figuroa was charged with felony robbery, since he “used force to affect the crime crime.”
This made him “ineligible for the $0 bail due to COVID-19. He is currently being held on a $50,000 bail.”
