While on a patrol near Yokut Gas Station in Lemoore the night of May 3, 2020, a King’s County Sheriff’s deputy spotted a
1993 Acura Integra with no license plates drive into the gas station parking lot. Before the deputy could initiate a traffic
stop, the driver of the car, 27-year old Gary Jennings, exited the car and opened the hood, giving the impression of car trouble.
The deputy contacted Jennings and his passenger, 32-year old Lisa Sharer. A records check revealed Jennings had a parole hold warrant for his arrest and an outstanding Kern County warrant in the amount of $65,000. Jennings was searched during his arrest and on his person was found a metal key, such as one a locksmith would use to gain access to locked vehicles.stolen car
A records check on the Acura confirmed the car was reported stolen from Tulare. Jennings confessed he believed the car was stolen when he purchased it without a key for $500 from the selling app “Offer Up.”
His passenger, Sharer, was found with methamphetamine and a smoking device in her purse. Though she was arrested, she was released with a citation.
Jennings was also promptly released after being booked at the Kings County Jail, due to the $0 bail schedule.
