FOLSOM – On the night of May 10, officers with the Folsom Police Department discovered a stolen car in the parking lot of a hotel near Bidwell and Blue Ravine.
A man on parole and a woman on probation were walking away from the car and detained by police.
Further investigation revealed that the couple were staying at the hotel where the car was parked. Inside of their hotel room, the suspects had a computer and printer, “evidence of the suspects manufacturing identity documents, and a large amount of mail stolen from Folsom and surrounding communities. The investigation also revealed that the stolen car was purchased with fraudulent documents.”
FPD encourages its citizens to check their mailbox daily.
27-year-old Richard Beldon Waters and 26-year-old Desiree Brianna Sanchez, both of Martinez, were booked for auto thef, identity theft, stolen property and conspiracy.
