On May 7 a smash and grab robbery occurred in the Costc jewlery department. Two men were later identified as the suspects in the crime.
On May 16, 30-year-old Jeffrey Potter was arrested and charged with robbery, and his bail was set at $250,000.
The other suspect, 28-year-old Richard Hoffman, was already in custody at the Santa Rita Jail in Alameda County, being held there for possession of stolen property and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Hoffman now has the additional charge of robbery and a bail of $750,000.
