In many, perhaps most, cases when a person decides to test their ability to outrun deputies, they lose. Here is another example of that from the Mono County Sheriffs Official Facebook Page –
“The Mono County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a high-speed pursuit yesterday, June 1, at approximately 8:00 a.m.
The pursuit began south of Lee Vining, CA, when a Nissan Altima sped past a Deputy at a very high rate of speed, at approximately 100+MPH.
The chase came to an end outside of Hawthorne, NV, when Mineral County Deputies deployed spike strips.
The driver, who was later identified as Robert Williams, was arrested by Mineral County.
His charges:
Felony reckless driving
Failing to yield to an emergency vehicle
No driver license
Speeding over 100 MPH
Speeding in a construction zone”
