Porn-Film Star Ron Jeremy Charged with Sexual Assault of Four Women

HOLLYWOOD – L.A. County District Attorney Jackie Lacey has announced charges against adult film
actor and director Ron Jeremy, for “forcibly raping three women and sexually assaulting another in
separate incidents dating back to 2014.” said the DA’s Greg Risling.
Ronald Jeremy Hyatt (dob 3/12/53), known throughout the industry, was charged in case BA488059 with three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object and one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery.
Jeremy is a big star in the porn film industry. According to Wikipedia, “Jeremy is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for “Most Appearances in Adult Films.” His entry on the Internet Adult Film Database lists more than 2,000 films in which he has performed, and an additional 285 films which he directed.
By way of comparison, John Holmes, the next highest-ranked male star on the AVN Top 50 porn stars, has 384 acting credits listed on the IAFD.”
The case was filed for warrant on 06/22/2020, with his arraignment scheduled the next day in Dept. 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center. Deputy District Attorney Paul Thompson of the Sex Crimes Division is prosecuting the case.
The 67-year-old defendant is accused of forcibly raping a 25-year-old woman at a home in West Hollywood in May of 2014. “Hyatt allegedly sexually assaulted two women, ages 33 and 46, on separate occasions at a West Hollywood bar in 2017,” said Risling.
“He also is accused of forcibly raping a 30-year-old woman at the same bar in July 2019.”
Additionally, The DA’s Office declined a case against Hyatt due to insufficient evidence stemming from an incident in 2016. The ongoing case is under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s
Department.
Notably, “More than a dozen women have publicly accused Jeremy of sexual assault. Several of the
allegations relate to his appearances at fan conventions, alleging that he would grope and insert his
fingers into attendees without their consent,” reported Wikipedia. “In June 2020, Jeremy was charged with sexual assault.”
Prosecutors are recommending that bail be set at $6.6 million. If convicted as charged, the defendant
faces a possible maximum sentence of 90 years to life in state prison.
