The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office arrested a registered sex offender for a hit and run –
“On July 6, 2020 at approximately 1620 hours, Sutter County Sheriff Deputies and Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies were attempting to locate a possible suspect in a hit and run that occurred in Sacramento County jurisdiction.
While looking for a black SUV, Deputy Licon located a black SUV traveling north on Garden Highway just north of Verona. Deputy Licon attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the black SUV due to a speeding violation.
The black SUV failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit ended with the black SUV yielding on Garden Highway south of Sankey Road.
George Lloyd was taken into custody without incident. Lloyd was booked into the Sutter County Jail for the pursuit and for not properly registering as a sex offender. He has a court date July 15, 2020 at 1330 hours.”
