Once Bitten, Multiple Injuries to Bus Driver – “Drive, Bitch!” Female Suspect Arrested

CULVER CITY – A ruthless attack on a Culver City bus driver was caught on video surveillance
on June 12th at approximately 1:47 PM. Injuries suffered included a bite mark to her arm, lacerations to her face, and a swollen head.
The passenger’s frustration at a bus layover erupted in pummeling and flinging of the driver.
After yelling, “Drive, Bitch!,” the fracas began.
Detectives featured the imagery of the crime for a crime video bulletin produced and distributed on social media. It included the long-suffered and terrifying incident. The event ended with vandalism to the windshield wipers.
Manuel Cid, Acting Chief of Police, announced on July 15th, “the suspect, a 26-year-old female identified as Shianne Lovings was arrested in the city of Rosemead by Culver City Detectives.
Lovings was placed under arrest for PC 243.3 (Battery on a bus operator inflicting injury).”
The case will be presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office for criminal filing consideration.
