“On Saturday, July 18th, 2020, a Palm Springs Police Officer conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle for violations of the Vehicle Code, at the intersection of N. Calle Encilia and E. Amado.

The officer contacted an occupant of the vehicle who was discovered to be a convicted felon, on felony probation, and out on bail for pending felony charges.

A search of the subject revealed an unregistered .22 caliber revolver concealed on her person. The subject was also found to be in possession of a stun gun and pepper spray.

The subject, who was identified as Desirae Montes (a twenty-seven year old resident of Banning, CA), was arrested and charged with the following violations…

29800(a)(1) – Poss of Firearm by prohibited person
25400(c)(1) – Concealment of Firearm by convicted felon
22810(a) – Poss of tear gas by convicted felon
22610(a) – Poss of stun deadly weapon by convicted felon
1203.2 – Violation of Probation
12022.1(a) – Commit felony while on bail”
