An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the fatal assault of a woman in Willows.
Deputies responded to a residence on Butte Street in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 25, where a neighbor had reportedly found 46-year-old Jessica Enea beaten so brutally that she was unresponsive.
Deputies and emergency medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but were not successful. Enea was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators quickly identified Anthony Francis Jr., who lived in another neighborhood nearby, as the primary suspect in her death. He was arrested and booked into the Glenn County Jail on suspicion of murder.
