The morning of July 25th, Michael G. Bryan, currently on felony probation, was observed by Madera County Sheriff’s Office deputies driving a stolen Dodge 3/4 ton pickup in the area of Indian Lakes.
Bryan stopped the truck and was able to avoid capture by fleeing on foot; his passenger, however, did not.
In the truck, deputies found an assault rifle, two handguns, and ammunition. 41-year old Matthew Donley’s conviction history prohibits him from being in possession of these items.
Donley was arrested for weapons and ammunition violations. He was booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections and is being held on a probation violation.
The public was given a description of Bryan and warned not to approach him but instead call Madera
County Sheriff’s Office if they spotted him. The night of July 27th , an anonymous citizen did just that.
Thanks to the tip, a MCSO deputy located Bryan in the area of Coarsegold Village.
Again, Bryan ran away on foot upon seeing the deputy, crossing Highway 41. But this time he was unable to avoid arrest. Bryan was arrested for possession or receiving a stolen vehicle, and resisting, obstructing, or delaying a peace officer. He was booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections where he is being held without bail.
