The Placer County Sheriff’s Office pursued and stopped a kidnapping suspect as he sped in his Maserati until he crashed it –
“At 5:30 a.m. on Monday, August 3, Placer County Sheriff’s deputies received a call of a kidnapping in the area of Taylor Road, in Roseville. Deputies attempted to locate the suspect.
Around 7 a.m., a witness called 911 to report a female on Sierra College Boulevard, reporting she was kidnapped. Detectives began investigating and gathering information on the whereabouts of the suspect.
Detectives spotted the suspect’s vehicle, a blue Maserati, several hours later on Taylor Road. The suspect, 33-year old Anthony Flemmings Williams of Vallejo, sped off and began driving recklessly, reaching extremely unsafe speeds.
Williams was wanted for kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon. Several neighboring law enforcement agencies responded to assist with capturing Williams. Williams was detained after crashing into a tree on Fulton and Marconi Avenues, in Sacramento County.
Williams was subsequently arrested and booked into the South Placer Jail. His bail is set at $500,000.”
