On March 2nd , an unresponsive woman prompted a call to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived at the home located on the 400 block of East Westfield in Porterville to find the body of 37-year old Reyna Castillo. Castillo had been stabbed to death. Deputies called the
Homicide Unit to investigate.
Investigators have collected evidence and taken witness accounts and after months of working on this case, an arrest has been made. 39-year old Victor Castillo, Reyna’s ex-husband, was arrested on August 6th for her murder. As of the time of this writing, Victor remains in custody at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility in Visalia.
The motive for the homicide has not yet been released as this case remains active. The Tulare
