The Los Banos Police Department releases this report of the arrest of a man with drugs –
“On August 20 at about 1:42 a.m., Sergeant Justin Melden contacted 49-year old Peter Mastroieni in the 700 Blk of Nevada after the Officer observed him running from a parked vehicle.
Mastroieni was determined to be on Post Release Community Supervision for another crime. During a probation search, Officers discovered Mastroieni was in possession of keys to the vehicle he was originally observed running away from and a large amount of cash.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located approximately 3/4 pound of suspected methamphetamine, suspected heroin, and a stolen loaded handgun. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and additional suspected methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine was located inside.
Masteroieni was booked into the Los Banos Police Department Jail charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a controlled substance for sales, and possession of a controlled substance while armed. Masteroieni is currently being held pending $ 270,000.00 bail.”
