The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 38-year-old Rusty Chastain in connection to a shooting on August 19 that left one victim injured.
Chastain is accused of shooting someone in the leg during a dispute on the 6600 block of Williston Road just outside of Live Oak. Police say the victim was quickly hospitalized and is expected to recover.
Police then released a photo and description of the incident, calling on the public to help locate Chastain. By August 21, he was in custody.
