The Placer County Sheriff’s Office posted this story about two people arrested for attempted murder in a shooting that occurred recently there –
“Around 11:30 p.m. on July 21st, 2020, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call originating from the 1900-block of Vineyard Road in Roseville.
The caller reported his brother had been shot. Deputies responded and found an adult male victim who had been shot multiple times. A late model Cadillac sedan was seen speeding away from the victim’s home at a high rate of speed.
During the investigation, the victim provided a statement leading detectives to identify the shooter as 21-year old Ulices Gomora, and determined the driver of the Cadillac sedan was 23-year old Vanessa John. Both Gomora and John reside in Clearlake, CA. Arrest warrants were obtained for the arrest of both suspects for attempted murder.
On August 24th, 2020, members of the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Clearlake Police Department served a search warrant at John’s and Gomora’s home in Clearlake, CA, where several firearms were recovered. John was found and arrested at another location in Clearlake.
Gomora had left Clearlake and was located by a PCSO detective traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 in the Emigrant Gap area. He was stopped, and found to be in possession of eight one-pound packages of marijuana.
Gomora was arrested without incident. Both Gomora and John are charged with attempted murder; they were subsequently transported to the Placer County Jail in Auburn, where they remain in custody without bail.”
