Photo: what officers discovered
On August 28 at 3:00 pm a patrolling officer with the Murrieta Police Department spotted three males in the garage of a residence.
The three documented gang members were standing with “several milled out AR-15 lower receivers” nearby.
The DOJ considers these receivers as firearms. In fact, “The male who was on probation was actually in the process of milling out one of the receivers while he was being contacted.”
The three were detained and a search warrant was obtained, after “a loaded stolen 1911 pistol, four lower AR-15 receivers, one complete AR-15 upper receiver, several high-capacity handgun magazines, in excess of 100 rounds of ammunition, 37 grams of methamphetamine, and indicia of narcotic sales.”
Two of the three males were arrested “for numerous felonies.”
