“On 08/28/20 at around 2:09 PM LPD Officers responded to the area of Church and Swain for a report of several gunshots heard in the area.
During the initial investigation officers were able to locate the residence where the gunshots had been fired from in the 100 block of Swain Drive. Contact was made with the residents, the scene was secured, and detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence.
As a result of the search warrant an illegally possessed AR style rifle, with no serial numbers or identifying marks, was located in the garage, along with several rounds of ammunition. There were also 15 spent .223 shell casings located in the backyard of the residence, which backs up to Century Park.
Nicolas Hernandez (27) of Lodi was arrested and ultimately booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for willfully discharging a firearm in a gross negligent manner and illegally possessing an assault weapon.”
