Officers seize firearm after downtown disturbance

Here’s a story from the Redding Police Department about a disturbance in which a gun was brandished –

“On September 11th at approximately 2:44 A.M. Redding Police Officers were flagged down in front of Shameless O’Leary’s for a reported disturbance. Officers learned a subject had brandished a handgun at group of individuals following an argument, then fled in a vehicle.

Officer Jaegel spotted the suspect vehicle travelling southbound on Highway 273.  A traffic stop was initiated and a male and female were contacted.  The driver was identified as Mikhayla Mattson, 21 years of Redding. She was determined to be driving under the influence and was later arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail.

The passenger was identified as Lawrence Fisherblakely, 22 years of Redding. Fisherblakely admitted he had been involved in an argument and brandished his handgun at several subjects. Officers located the handgun in Fisherblakely’s vehicle.  Lawrence Fisherblakely was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail for brandishing a firearm and for carrying a concealed firearm.”
