“On September 15, 2020, Deputy T. Magaziner conducted a traffic stop on a car for a vehicle violation in the area of Benicia Rd./Central Ave. in the city of Vallejo.
While talking with the driver, 28-year-old Nakio Mason of Vallejo, Deputy Magaziner could smell the odor marijuana coming from inside of the sedan.
Inquiring about the notable odor, Deputy Magaziner asked Mason if he had marijuana in his vehicle. At which time, Mason told Deputy Magaziner he had a “blunt” in the center console.
To ensure Mason was transporting the marijuana in accordance with the law, Deputy Magaziner searched Mason’s vehicle and located 64 grams of marijuana, a loaded firearm underneath the driver’s seat, and EDD cards with other people’s names on them.
Mason was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm, concealed firearm in a vehicle and other related charges.”
