The Stockton Police Department arrested a man for a murderous shooting ten days after it occurred –
“On September 12, 2020, at 8:58 p.m., a 38-year-old man was involved in a disturbance with a suspect in the 1200 block of Doray Court. The suspect shot the victim in the chest. Officers located the victim on the street and medics transported him to a local hospital. The victim was pronounced deceased and detectives responded for the investigation.
Through the investigation, detectives learned Andrew Duty, 22, was responsible for the homicide.
On September 22, 2020, members of the US Marshals Taskforce conducted follow up and located Duty in the 1300 block of Perry Ave. Duty drove from the residence and was followed a short distance away from the location. Officers took Duty into custody without incident.
Duty was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on homicide charges.”
