“September 24, 2020 – Today, District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar announced that Scott Bailey, age 24, appeared in court for arraignment on a complaint charging him with premeditated murder and personal use of a firearm causing death.
On July 25, 2018, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Officers responded to the 1100 block of N Wilson Way on a report of a man down. Officers arrived to find the victim, Santos Vazquez, 49 years old, pronounced deceased at the scene by medics from a gunshot wound. For the past two years Stockton Crime Stoppers and the Stockton Police Department have posted flyers asking for the public’s assistance in solving this homicide.
Through the diligence of Stockton Homicide Detective, they were able to determine that Scott Bailey was allegedly the shooter. He was arrested this past Tuesday without incident.
The Honorable Ronald Northup set no bail and ordered the defendant present on October 14, 2020, for further arraignment.”
