Merced Police Arrest Man for Transportation and Sales of Narcotics

“On 10-11-20 at 9:47 P.M., Officer Richter attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation in the 600 block of W Donna Dr.

The vehicle failed to yield and drove to the 700 block of San Diego Ct, where it yielded to the curb.

The driver, Mark Whitaker (61), was taken into custody. Whitaker was found to be driving on a suspended license.

A search of Whitaker revealed a bag containing 137 grams of methamphetamine and $1445 in cash.

Whitaker was cited for failure to yield, driving on a suspended license and transportation and sales of narcotics.”
