27-year-old Buena Park resident Albony Williams—known to law enforcement throughout Southern California as an active and experienced commercial burglar—has been arrested in connection with a series of Ventura County pharmacy burglaries.
Investigating the burglaries while observing video surveillance evidence, Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies attached to the Thousand Oaks Police Department, observed the identical suspect and modus operandi in each crime. According to VCSD spokesman Detective Richard LaSecia, in three separate break-ins, “the suspect entered the pharmacy by burrowing through the wall of the neighboring business.”
Once inside, the suspect began “stealing prescription medication.”
As video surveillance systems recorded his every action, and it didn’t take detectives long to identify Williams as their man. With his reputation known to law enforcement, detectives had little trouble locating Williams’ Buena Park residence, where they served a search warrant and proceeded to “collect evidence related to the crimes.”
Along with stolen prescription medications, detectives found multiple firearms, ammunition, and a cache of currency believed to be the proceeds of drug sales.
On October 20th , Williams—prohibited from possessing firearms as a convicted felon—was contacted by the TOPD Directed Enforcement Unit in the City of Laguna Hills, where he was taken into custody. He was transported to Ventura County Jail and was booked on multiple counts of commercial burglary and illegal possession of firearms. He remains in custody with his bail set at $250,000.
