During this summer the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit investigated a man who “was storing hundreds of child pornography files in a cloud storage account.”
The investigation led to a residence in the 700 block of 9th Avenue and on October 9th investigators served a search warrant at the residence.
The investigation then led to 72-year-old Delbert Erwin and his media devices.
Erwin was arrested for two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of “possession of over 600 files of child pornography involving prepubescent children under twelve (12) years old.”
Erwin was was SFUSD employee “who worked as a data-analyst at a non-school site.” So far there is no evidence that any students are involved.
“If you feel you may have been a victim or have had any suspicious contact with Delbert Ervin please contact the Special Victims Unit (415) 558-5500.”
