“Yesterday the Monterey County Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (S.A.F.E) Team arrested Joseph Rodriguez, 66, of Marina.
Rodriguez is a sex offender and currently on parole, who was out of compliance with his terms of registration.
Rodriguez was a participant in project room key and staying in a local motel in Marina, where he had not been registering.
Rodriguez also failed to register on his annual registration date. Rodriguez was arrested without incident and transported to the Monterey County Jail. He was charged with failing to register as a sex offender and State Parole placed a parole hold.
The Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Team at the Sheriff’s Office is charged with ensuring that sex offenders through out the county are in compliance with their terms of registration.
