A call was made to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office the morning of October 23, 2020, regarding a possible shooting at a family property. The reported location was the corner of West Manning and South West Avenues near Easton.
When deputies neared the area they saw a man walking by the road and detained him as precaution. While he was detained, deputies searched the area and found the body of a deceased adult male behind a barn. He had been shot.
Homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Unit were called to the scene. The man deputies detained as a precaution was identified as 57-year old Norman Vulich, the main, and at this time, only suspect. The victim was identified as 68-year old Jerry Vulich. Norman’s brother.
Norman was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for murder with bail set at $1.5 Million. He remains in custody at the Fresno County Jail as of the time of this writing.
