VALLEJO PD INVESTIGATES HIT-&-RUN ACCIDENT FOLLOWING VEHICLE PURSUIT

“VALLEJO – On October 30, 2020 at approximately 12:21pm, Vallejo Police initiated a pursuit at Mayfair Avenue and Vervais Avenue for a vehicle displaying stolen license plates. The pursuit lasted a little more than two minutes until the suspect vehicle began driving the wrong way on Redwood Street and the pursuit was terminated by Vallejo PD.

The suspect continued driving the wrong way on Redwood Street and subsequently collided with an uninvolved citizen’s car. That vehicle contained two people who were taken to area hospitals and treated for complaints of pain. The driver of the suspect vehicle fled on foot and escaped capture. We are currently investigating this matter.
