“On Monday, November 9th, at about 3:51pm, GBPD Officers responded to a house in the 1000 block of Ritchie Way for a reported fight and use of a firearm.
Officers responded and spoke with several family members who had fled the residence, stating that a male family member was still inside the residence and believed to be armed.
After nearly 6 hours of negotiations, Mark Vigil Jr., age 43 of Grover Beach, was arrested without incident and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for Attempted Murder, Assault with A Deadly Weapon, and Terrorist Threats.
Thankfully, no one was shot or seriously injured in this incident. During the investigation, multiple unregistered firearms were seized from the residence and additional charges in connection with these firearms may be filed with the District Attorney’s Office.
Anyone with further information is encouraged to contact GBPD Detective Matt Goodman at 805-473-4502.”
