San Francisco PD: Man shot during armed robbery, two arrested

“On Saturday, October 31, 2020, at approximately 9:12 AM, Bayview Station officers responded to the area of Bayshore Boulevard and Cesar Chavez Street for a report of a person shot. Officers arrived on scene and met with a 26-year-old male, who stated he was shot and robbed.
The victim informed officers that he observed a vehicle with two suspects on the corner of Hyde and Turk Streets. Both suspects brandished firearms at the victim and ordered him to get inside the vehicle. The suspect demanded the victim’s property, pointed a firearm at him, and threatened him if he did not comply. A struggle ensued between the suspect and victim, during which time the suspect discharged the firearm shooting the victim.
Both suspects continued to hit the victim causing him to sustain life-threatening injuries. The suspects stole the victim’s clothing, cell phone, and wallet containing US currency. The suspects transported the victim to at Bayshore Boulevard and Marin Street prior to fleeing.
Officers observed the victim was bound by his hands and suffering from a gunshot wound to his hand. Officers requested medical assistance. EMS arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital for his injuries.
The SFPD Robbery Detail conducted an investigation, which determined that 44-year old Trearl Malone of Oakland and 44-year-old Rosohn Brooks of San Francisco were involved in the incident. SFPD obtained warrants for Malone’s and Brooks’ arrest for the charges of robbery, kidnapping to commit robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy.
Malone, who was in custody in Alameda County on an unrelated matter, was arrested on these warrants. On November 9, 2020, at approximately 3:30 PM, Brooks was arrested on the above warrants in the area of Mendell Avenue and Oakdale Avenue, and booked at San Francisco County Jail.”
