“Early this morning around 2:30 a.m., two of our Watch A officers were patrolling the Arlanza neighborhood when they stopped a car in the area of Philbin Avenue and Picker Street. When they contacted the driver, they recognized him as a known gang member currently on parole for assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury. The officers searched this parolee’s car and found two loaded handguns and a little over an ounce of suspected methamphetamine.
Danny Flores, 36-years-old of Riverside, was arrested and booked into jail for weapons, narcotics, and parole violations. He is being held without bail.
What’s a parolee gang member doing driving around with two loaded guns while most are sleeping? We don’t know but we’re glad our Watch A officers are out there facing these dangers to make our community safer.”
