Human-Trafficking Task Force Nabs Man Pimping a Minor, Later Locates Two More
THERMAL – The Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force (RCAHT) with the assistance of the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force served a search warrant regarding a human trafficking investigation on 11/12/2020 at 4 PM. RCAHT arrived at the 76- 000 block of Pierce Street with documents in-hand.
During the search-warrant service, Jose Manuel Quevedo Pimentel (21), of Thermal, was arrested for Human Trafficking of a Minor, Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor, Oral Copulation, and other felony charges.
As a result, “Pimental was transported to the Riverside County Jail in Indio,” said Sergeant Jose Tijerina.
Since then, another subject and a victim have been located as of 11/19/2020 during this ongoing investigation.
RCAHT, formed in March 2020, addresses crimes involving the exploitation of victims via force, fraud, or coercion in the eastern half of the Coachella Valley, and combines investigative resources of both local and federal law enforcement. These cases often involve the commercial sex-trafficking of children, incidents of forced labor, indentured servitude, debt bondage, or slavery.
