“During a traffic stop, Officer Santoyo contacted Andrew Garcia and Bernardo Racinez. While searching the vehicle, Officer Santoyo located a loaded stolen handgun.
Garcia and Racinez are both previously convicted felons and prohibited from possessing a firearm.
They each also have a history as being active street gang members. Garcia and Racinez were booked into Madera County Jail on multiple felony charges.
This is another great example of the diligence our patrol officers put forth daily in hopes of preventing violent crimes before they happen.”
