Last night, deputies responded to a home on Fourth Avenue in Jamestown after the victim reported a female attempted to light her SUV on fire. When deputies arrived, they saw a melted plastic, Molotov cocktail style, bottle lying on the ground underneath a car parked on the street.
Deputies learned the victim was made aware of the fire by the witness. The two acted quickly and extinguished the fire with a garden hose before it could spread to the vehicle or nearby vegetation.
After conducting interviews, deputies determined the responsible was 41-year-old Samantha Good of Jamestown. Deputies located Samantha at her house and ultimately arrested her for attempted arson. The motives of the attempted arson are not clear at this time.
