A Shot Spotter on the 1500 block of East Fedora Avenue alerted Fresno Police officers of four gunshots fired in that area the night of November 25, 2020.
The scene Central Policing District officers arrived to was an apartment complex parking were a car had crashed into a carport
support beam. 23-year old Jovanni Boyd occupied the vehicle; he had been shot in the upper body.
Jovanni was transported to Community Regional Medical Center to received medical attention but he did not survive his injuries.
Homicide detectives took over the case.
Investigation revealed Boyd was sitting in his car in the parking lot when a suspect shot toward his direction. The suspect has not been identified and a motive is still being investigated.
