It was 1:30AM on December 3, 2020, and officers were on the trail of a white Chevy Tahoe. The vehicle was suspected to have been used during a previous armed robbery.
An attempt to stop the vehicle near Beech Avenue and Terrace Street was unsuccessful due to the drive’s unwillingness to stop; a pursuit was initiated.
Spike strips flattened the two left tires, keeping speeds low for most of the chase. The pursuit ended on Demaree Street and Laurel Avenue when the two flat tires caught fire. An unregistered firearm, ammunition, cocaine, and methamphetamine were confiscated.
The driver, 37-year old Seth Underwood, was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, ammunition, controlled substances for sales, an unregistered firearm, and pursuit.
He was booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility. He remains in custody as of the time of this writing
with bail set at $950,000.
No collisions, damage, or injuries resulted from this incident.
