“On 12-11-2020 at about 1350 hours the Officers from the Crescent City Police Department responded to the 1000 Block of East Condor for a report of a restraining order violation in progress.
Upon arrival the suspect fled from the officer. The suspect, Steven Shoemaker (age 38), then began running through several backyards over the course of a few city blocks.
Deputies from the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the area and assisted with the search. With the assistance of citizens in the area CCPD Officers were able to locate Shoemaker and take him into custody in the 900 block of Anzio at about 1416 hours.
This again was an excellent display of teamwork, not only by the responding agencies, but the citizens in the area as well. Thank you also goes out to DNSO dispatch for getting the information out to the Officers and Deputies in a quick and precise manner.
