The accident occurred on December 8. Both drivers stopped on Highway 4 near Somersville Road. Fortunately, no one was reported injured.
A woman driver exited her vehicle to contact the other driver, and the situation turned ugly. A man who was driving the other vehicle also exited and he was angry.
He pulled a pistol and threatened the woman driver. A passenger with him, another woman stayed put inside the vehicle. Next, the man got back inside and fired one shot as he drove away. The woman driver’s vehicle was struck by a bullet.
The man suspected of doing all this is an Oakland resident, 21-year-old Jamario Bibb. His passenger Deanta Newsom, 24 of Antioch, owns the vehicle that he was driving.

Antioch officers detained Bibb and Newsom, until CHP detectives arrested them. A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded .40 caliber pistol, with an extended magazine, missing one round.
Bibb and Newsom were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility, where they remain without bail. Bibb confessed to the shooting, according to a prepared statement from the CHP.

Newsom faces charges for being an accessory, in addition to two weapons-related charges.
