29-year old Jose Estrada of Fresno is in a heap of trouble after being arrested for a string of armed robberies.
Estrada is a suspect for the robbery which occurred at the Riverdale Liquor Store on West Mount Whitney
Avenue on October 25th where cash and tobacco products were stolen. Next, he is suspected of robbing the Adina Valley Market on South Elm near Easton on December 14th where cash was stolen. On December 15th.
Estrada is suspected of attempting to rob a man at gunpoint at the recycling center on South Marks in
Riverdale. The victim charged at Estrada, who was armed with a shotgun causing Estrada to run away.
Also on December 15th , a Honda was stolen from a business parking lot on West Mount Whitney in
Riverdale. Estrada is suspected of stealing the Honda, which was used during one for the robberies. The
Honda was returned to owner after it was found abandoned.
Working with the Clovis Police Department, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office detectives found evidence
linking Estrada to an armed robbery at the Tower Smoke Shop on West Shaw in Clovis on December 20th
where cash and merchandise were stolen.
Estrada, who bonded out of jail in July after a battery arrest, was once again arrested on December 22nd for multiple charges of robbery, use of a gun to commit a felony, committing a felony while out on bail, and auto theft. His bail is set at $620,000.He was booked into the Fresno County Jail where he remains in custody at the time of this writing.
Detectives believe Estrada may not have worked alone. Anyone with information may contact Crimes
