“On 1-9-2021 at 5:30 am, the victim was inside his residence in the area of the 200 block of California St. getting ready for work when he heard a vehicle door close.
He looked outside his window and saw that the interior dome light of his vehicle was illuminated. He went outside to investigate and saw that his vehicle had been broken into and ransacked.
Witnesses in the area pointed towards the alley off of Sherwood Drive.
The victim ran to the alleyway and observed a male adult walking away holding some of his tools and property removed from his vehicle. He confronted the male, later identified as Brad Johnson (35), and told him to stop. Johnson dropped the property. When the victim attempted to detain Johnson, he was punched in the face.
The victim, who had called police as the incident unfolded, provided a description and a direction of travel. Johnson ran from the scene but was quickly located. As officers attempted to take him into custody, Johnson became uncooperative and combative. After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody.
Johnson was later transported to county jail and booked on robbery, resisting arrest and violation of probation charges.”
