A vehicle burglary occurred in the evening of January 11 in the 3500 block of North State Street.
The person who called the incident in owns a truck repair business at the scene. He spotted two suspects inside if a truck that had been dropped off.
The owner of the truck, once contacted, said no one should be in his truck.
With a description provided, officers spotted the two suspects nearby. They were positively identified by the shop owner in a lineup
Further investigation revealed that the truck had been broken into and was unsuccessfully stolen
One suspect, Mason Harris, was on pretrial court-ordered release for second degree burglary.
The other suspect, Partick Schuetz, was on Post Release Community Supervision. He had burglary tools in his possession.
Harris was arrested for attempted vehicle theft, second degree burglary, conspiracy and burglary tools.
Schuetz was arrested for parole violation, second degree burglary, conspiracy and burglary tools.
“In accordance with the COVID-19 emergency order issued by the State of California Judicial Council, bail was set at zero dollars for both subjects and they were released after the jail booking process.”
