Christmas morning 2020, 38-year old George Garcia was gunned down on the 100 block of North Echo Avenue in Fresno. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. Fresno PD Homicide Detectives Chris Franks and Manny Romero began the investigation.
What was discovered was a charcoal gray BMW stopped in the middle of the street in front of the residence where Garcia was standing. 26-year old Playboy Sureno gang member Sergio Saucedo Ochoa fired several rounds at Garcia from inside the BMW before taking of southbound on North Echo.
Garcia is an ex-felon currently on PRCS for possession of a firearm. He was picked up on December 29, 2020, for an unrelated domestic violence charge and booked at the Fresno County Jail. On January 7, 2021, he was charged with the murder of George Garcia.
