WILDOMAR – Word of narcotics deals fell within the purview of the Lake Elsinore Sheriffs Station Problem-Oriented Policing Team. A probation search unearthed a sales-oriented bust by a pair of reported felonious criminals.
Shady dealings involved an array of narcotics for sale by the two residents on the 33000 block of Orange Street.
The team arrived at 6:45 PM at the residence on the evening of 01/06/2021 where the previously- convicted and armed felons were both prohibitively in possession of loaded firearms. Next, Alyssa McNevin (29), and Ruppel Thomas, (40) had more illegalities in store for the search team. The search unearthed a plethora of drugs and money: McNevin showcased methamphetamine for sales, along with heroin and assorted pills – accompanied by a “large sum” of U.S. currency. Thomas was in possession of methamphetamine and heroin.
As a result, the disarmed narcotic-sales duo was transported to Cois Byrd Detention Center, to be charged and booked.
“McNevin was booked into custody on the charges of narcotic sales, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and convicted felon in possession of ammunition,” said Sergeant Jeff Reese. “Ruppel Thomas was booked on the charges of convicted felon in possession of a firearm, convicted felon in possession of ammunition, possession of methamphetamine and possession of heroin.”
