The night of Tuesday, January 19th , Tulare County Sheriff Deputies were called to a home on the 15800 block of Azalea Avenue in Ivanhoe.
Upon arriving, deputies found the body of a shooting victim. A family dispute turned deadly when a 17-year old shot a 39-year old man multiple times, killing him. The 17-year old ran from the scene armed with a rifle.
Detectives of the Sheriff’s Office CATTCH Team spent the night and early morning surveilling a home on the 900 block of West Ashland Street in Visalia. The afternoon of January 20th , a search warrant was served at the home by the Sheriff’s SWAT Team, CATTCH, General Investigations Unit, and Homicide Detectives. The 17-year old suspect was arrested at the home and located on the property was the weapon believed to have been used during the commission of the homicide.
