On January 13, 2021 at approximately at 7:00am, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Deputies, Sheriff’s Detectives from the SAFE Taskforce and United States Marshals served a search warrant at an address on Woolaroc Drive in unincorporated Los Gatos.
The search warrant was from a tip received from Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) of child pornography being both downloaded and distributed via Snapchat and Kik – a messaging application.
The suspect, 23-year-old Samuel Mesa, was suspected of trading child pornography over the internet. After further investigation, detectives obtained a confession from Mesa and arrested him on possession of child pornography charges.
Detectives seized Mesa’s electronic devices for additional forensic analysis. We would like to thank the U.S. Marshals for their assistance with this investigation.
Mesa was booked into the Main Jail without incident. This is an active and ongoing investigation.
