OAKLAND — A 26-year-old man faces 30 charges and special allegations involving the murder of a woman last year. Robert Paige who lives in Oakland was booked into Santa Rita Jail, where he remains ineligible for release on bond.
The victim 23-year-old Au’Iihane Harris was fatally shot while she was sitting inside a vehicle. Another man who was with her at the time was not injured.
This shooting occurred on the 3400 block of 82 nd Avenue on December 2 at 10:07 p.m. Oakland officers collaborating with a special intelligence unit identified Paige as the suspect.
Paige was located and arrested by Oakland officers in San Ramon on January 27 at 5:44 p.m. In addition to the December homicide, Paige also faces four additional charges for an unrelated robbery in May 2020.
His charges involving the fatal shooting include murder. He is also charged with shooting at an occupied vehicle, attempted robbery, and causing great bodily injury.
In addition, Paige faces a lengthy list of firearms-related charges, including possession of a firearm by a felon. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 24 for a plea hearing.
Paige has several prior arrests for robberies, including one that resulted in a three-year prison sentence in 2015. He was also previously convicted for other felonies and for carrying a firearm by a prohibited person.
