“On February 6th at 2:25 am, Merced Police Department officers initiated a traffic enforcement stop in the 600 block of E. Olive Ave.
The driver consented to a vehicle search at the officers request. During the search officers located a loaded 9mm semi-automatic firearm underneath a seat.
Angel Barrios (18) and a seventeen (17) year-old male juvenile were arrested for possession of loaded concealed firearm inside a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm by prohibited persons, and gang enhancements.
Barrios was booked into the custody at the Merced County Jail and the juvenile was booked at Juvenile Hall.
