On Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 10:02 a.m., the newly-assigned Community Resource Deputy assigned to Waterford Police Services conducted a traffic stop near Tim Bell Road and Heather Drive.
While the stop itself was conducted for traffic-related infractions, the driver we encountered was 19-year-old Turlock resident Daniel Fore. He also happened to be a previously convicted felon, and active probationer, with a propensity for committing armed robbery.
A probation compliance check was conducted in accordance with his court-imposed search terms. Located in the front waistband of Fore’s pants was an all-black replica Air Soft gun closely resembling a Glock semi-automatic firearm.
Furthermore, we located a bottle of pills from Mexico which are a generic form of Xanax. The pills are a controlled and federally scheduled substance prohibited from possession without a properly obtained prescription.
Mr. Fore was arrested and booked into the Public Safety Center for possession for sale of a controlled substance. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Our deputies continue to enforce, engage and educate members of our community in order to protect and serve all of our neighbors.
